We would like to tell you about the additions and enhancements we've made to Microsoft Health CUI in the April 2009 release.

New Design Guidance and Toolkit Controls

We've released the following new guidance documents:

• Design Guidance – Recording Adverse Drug Reaction Risks: This guidance follows on from the previously published document Design Guidance – Displaying Adverse Drug Reaction Risks. It provides guidance and recommendations for recording adverse drug reaction risks. (An adverse drug reaction is a negative physiological response to a pharmaceutical product, where in normal cases, the dosage administered would be non toxic)


• Design Guidance – Filtering, Sorting and Grouping: This document provides guidance and recommendations for filtering, sorting and grouping any clinical data within a single patient record displayed in a tabular form


• Design Guidance – Medications List: This guidance expands upon the subjects explored in the previously published document Design Guidance – Medications Views. This new document provides guidance and recommendations for the display of a list of medications for a single patient within a ward environment

We've also released the following new control:

• Single Concept Matching control: This control searches and encodes entered text as SNOMED CT^® codes. The Microsoft Health Single Concept Matching implementation features contexts in which the control might appear, and shows the type of information which is output

Updates and Other Site Changes

We've released the following control update:

• Patient Banner control: This control has been updated with the removal of styling properties to align with other controls and accepted best practices

In addition to the release of new material and control updates, the Roadmap has been updated to reflect the status of 'completed' and 'in progress' work streams.
